OBJECTIVE:
The Azure Business Analyst is responsible for business engagement, product roadmap development, communication strategy, and delivery of outcomes that produce business value. The Azure Business Analyst will work across departments to deliver products/solutions that align to Ferguson-s strategic vision. In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team to execute towards the project-s outcome. This team includes business owners, customers and vendor partners, developers, quality assurance analysts, architects, and engineers.

* Ferguson-s Azure Data Analytics platform to grow and support business use cases while steadily evolving with our business objectives and strategy. Connecting technology and Azure architecture with business strategy.
JOB DUTIES:
Analysis, documentation, communication and approval of functional/non-functional business requirements for Ferguson Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA).
Lead the onboarding of enterprise data sources into the Azure platform.
Serve as a liaison between the Ferguson Business Units and the IT Department.
Creating user stories, managing a backlog & priority for BIA projects.
Working within a DevOps environment to support data ingestion into Azure and facilitate data access by business users.
Plan and communicate with customers, to understand their solution requirements and prioritize appropriately.
Coordinate projects across various IT groups and teams. Ability to influence associates across the organization to deliver.
Work closely with Architects, Developers, and Software Testers as well as business users.
Recognize patterns for developing new enterprise repositories and work closely with Enterprise and Domain Architects.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Prior Experience:
* A bachelor-s degree in Business or Business Administration, Management, Information Science, technology, or equivalent experience is required.
* Ferguson business and software domain knowledge preferred but not required
* Familiarity with working in an ambiguous environment with complex undocumented business logic and data flow
* 2-4 years of experience in a technical or functional data analysis (or equivalent) role
* Experience with application integration, with a general understanding of on-premise vs. cloud-based application deployments
* Azure DevOps experience a plus.
Preferred Technical and Professional Skills:
* Strong experience and understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile SCRUM, Waterfall, Kanban)
* Advanced skills with MS Office, SharePoint, Visio, MS-DevOps (VSTS) and/or Jira
* Self-motivated, proactive, creative, efficient and the ability to inspire and motivate a team
* Ability to effectively engage and motivate large groups '
* Demonstrated project management experience

* Exceptional ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.

* Ability to relate to people externally, key vendors, 3rd Party consultants, user groups and International Advisory Boards and Professional Bodies.
* Prepare High-level specifications from which programs will be designed and written
* Provide leadership on complex projects.
