Job Description:

We are looking for Senior Web Developers with strong leadership skills that can help our team modernize a suite of Web Application by applying Software Development Life Cycle and Agile best practices; using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Object Oriented Programming/Design (OOP or OOD). Make your career soar at the Naval Air Warfare Center.

Main Duties/Responsibilties

  • Analyze and evaluate a suite of applications and develop a plan to modernize the code into reusable components that are easily maintainable.
  • Mentor/work with a team of less-experienced analysts to implement the modernization plan.
  • Write/update functional requirements and software design specifications.
  • Perform quality assurance review of functional requirements and software design specifications.
  • Coordinate with the client to define problems; determine data availability; report requirements; and resolve system design problems.
  • Create logical data models based on functional requirements.
  • Develop analytical tools for use in the design and redesign of systems.
  • Analyzes detail systems factors; including input and output requirements; information flow; hardware and software requirements; and reliability characteristics.
  • Maintain current knowledge of web development software technologies; relational database design; UML; OOP; and SDLC
  • Skills/Qualifications: Analyzing Information; General Programming Skills; Software Design; Software Debugging; Software Documentation; Software Testing; Problem Solving; Teamwork; Software Development Fundamentals; Software Development Process; Software Requirements
  • Experience with .NET with C#; Java; PL/SQL with Oracle; XHTML and JavaScript.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles; methods; and techniques used in web software development.

Required Skills:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 10-15 years of related experience in web software development.
  • Position requires experience with Software Design; Development; & Test and Evaluation; programming experience with ASP .NET with C# and PL/SQL with Oracle; XHMTL and JavaScript. Experience with .NET Integrated Development Environment tools.
  • CSDP Certification
