Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sourcing Operations at Leidos is responsible for Purchasing and Logistics on all tangible material and software buys for all business segments at Leidos. Sourcing Operations is looking for highly motivated supply chain students to work as interns during the summer of 2020, where interns will learn about Leidos' buying and logistics operations. Interns will receive introductions throughout the Strategic Sourcing organization and be exposed to training and real life examples of supply chain work at Leidos


 RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Learn the basics of purchasing in a Federal Government approved Purchasing System.
-Attend meetings with stakeholders, to identify supply chain data sources.
-Attend meetings with key stakeholders to identify sourcing data to leverage for competitive advantage.
-Work with team to develop implementation plan for presentation to Sr. Management.
-Execute implementation plan to extent feasible during summer timeline.
-Make follow-on recommendations for long term sourcing success.
