  1. Develop a deeper understanding of the software project portfolio goals, objectives and benefits much before the onset of each of the projects to ensure only those software projects which are expected to provide benefits exceeding the investment of time and money are initiated.
  2. Define a realistic, but challenging, timescale and budget for completion of the project. Establish a structured approach for clearly defining roles and responsibilities for the delivery of the project and its work packages.
  3. Ensure that the projects proceed effectively and efficiently through all the phases of Software Development Life Cycle and are reviewed by the respective stakeholders at each stage gate, from inception through completion.
  4. Design and implement a systematic process to manage any changes to the original project scope or objectives.
  5. Help in standardizing and implementing agile methodology and practices across the organization
