Job Description:

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on development in Javascript, C++, and SQL primarily, though our RapidCut platform currently also involves other languages
  • Close coaching and mentoring of our engineering team, including code reviews and career development
  • Continuing education via classes, conferences, etc., to keep your skills up to date with the latest best practices
  • Writing and updating the processes that run our engineering team
  • Project management
  • Creating the testing process to ensure high quality releases, and/or developing automated testing
  • Occasional work on DevOps
  • Working with the founders to translate business needs into an engineering roadmap

Required Experience:

  • At least 5 years experience as a Software Engineer, with heavy focus on Javascript and/or C++.
  • At least 3 years experience with a focus on back end work. Please note that a lot of the engineering work for RapidCut is back end.

Desired Experience:

  • 1+ year of AWS experience is a plus
  • 1+ year experience in DevOps is a plus
  • 1+ year experience working with any SQL database environment
  • At least 2 years experience managing an on-site, full-time team
