Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Provide DBA support for distributed servers in a multi-datacenter environment.
2. Monitor daily activities and performance of complex SQL environment, analyzes technical problems, recommend adjustments, creates and implements approved solutions using established tools and techniques.
3. Provide technical assistance to the application development area and co-workers about SQL design and programming.
4. Configures SQL services (e.g. security, JDBC, clusters). Plans, installs and coordinates SQL Server releases, migrations, upgrades and maintenance. Build new environments as needed to support applications.
5. Coordinates with network, IIS administrators and storage groups for SQL server based configurations.
6. Develop technical documents, project plans and tasks, interact with customers for proposed solutions.
7. Provide non-production and production support for deploying code and assist in trouble shooting and resolving application issues.
8. Support DevOp tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Nexis, Mavin, Bitbucket, Kony Mobile, Nginx etc.)
9. Any other tasks assigned by the management team based on project/application needs.

Required Experience:

  1. Most current available SQL Server certification,
  2. At least seven (7) years experience showing hands on duties with minimum supported version 2012 SQL Server or higher in a multi tier, multi-platform large (multiple hardware nodes at each level).
  3. At least three (4) years experience with DevOp Tools (e.g. installing, supporting, configuring, problem determination).
  4. At least one (1) years experience with IBM BPM workflow (e.g. installing, supporting, configuring, problem determination).
  5. A minimum of 7 plus years experience and knowledge in supporting applications following system development life cycle.
  6. 7 years Experience and knowledge in supporting applications following system development life cycle.
  7. Minimum 5 years experience in database performance tuning and application SQL tuning.
  8. Minimum 5 years experience in SQL Server database design.
  9. Minimum 5 years experience in Microsoft SQL Server cluster installation and configuration.
  10. Minimum 5-year experience in configuring and supporting Always On databases.
  11. Minimum 5 years experience in generating database performance metrics on database usage and availability.
  12. Minimum 3 years experience in data modeling and application database design.
  13. Available 24x7 for afterhours support
