• Plan and execute migrations of databases to newer SQL Server versions or cloud platforms, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

• Design, implement, and maintain data integration workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or other ETL tools.

• Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures to reduce execution time and resource consumption.

• Apply service packs, hotfixes, and cumulative updates to maintain database system stability and security.

• Manage SQL Server databases hosted on cloud platforms like Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS, including monitoring and cost optimization.

• Create and maintain documentation for database designs, configurations, troubleshooting guides, and operational processes.

• Respond to database incidents promptly, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

• Collaborate with data analysts and architects to develop data models that align with business intelligence and reporting needs.

• Coordinate with network, storage, and application teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of database systems within the larger IT infrastructure.

• Identify and recommend improvements in database operations, processes, and technologies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
